Halloween may be a little different this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic as officials make changes for the health and safety of residents.
Some fall festivals, pumpkin patches, and haunted houses will continue as planned with safety changes such as facial covering requirements, social distancing requirements, and limited capacities.
Here are three things to do in the Dallas area this fall:
Yesterland Farms
Yesterland Farms in Canton features a pumpkin patch, corn maze, rides, photo ops, and much more. Visitors can walk through pumpkin houses or get a fright at the one-of-a-kind Spooktacular Nights. The farm features fireworks every Friday night at 8:30. The fall attractions are open through November 8th.

Texas Scaregrounds
Texas Scaregrounds isn't for the faint of heart. This haunted attraction is located inside "an actual haunted hospital and sanatorium." Ticket prices vary and fast pass options are available. Scaregrounds is open every Friday and Saturday night in October from 7p.m. to midnight.

Cutting Edge Haunted House
Cutting Edge holds a world record for being the largest haunted house that is "frighteningly realistic." The haunted attraction takes about 55 minutes to explore and is for those looking for a serious scare. There are dates available to visit throughout October and November.
