Katy Perry is encouraging voting this election season by pulling out her breast pump.
On Monday (October 5), the pop star, 35, took to Instagram to share a PSA of Jane Fonda leading an '80s-themed Zoom exercise class featuring Kerry Washington, Amy Schumer, Ashley Benson, Shaquille O'Neal and others. For her appearance during the two-minute clip, Perry appeared snacking rather than working out and had a different definition of pumping when she was seen pumping her breast milk.
"Get pumped to vote," she captioned the post. "Okay so @orlandobloomand I have different views on what it means to get pumped these days but whoever said pumping isn’t a sport... I’d like to twist their nipples clockwise for one week straight. ANYWAY I am going to exercise my right to vote!!!! Especially if @JaneFondasays I should. We’re getting in shape for the race of our lives this November and it has never been more important to#ExerciseThatVote. Head to the link in my bio and check your registration status, because many state registration deadlines are happening today!!!"
As you know, Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Daisy, in August. Weeks after giving birth, it was reported that the star was set on keeping up with her work ventures as she adjusts to motherhood. "She wants to submerge herself into motherhood as much as she can, but she is also not putting her career on the back burner," an insider told Us Weekly. "There are already discussions about upcoming projects and work. … Katy and Orlando do have help with the baby, but Katy insists on handling almost all of the baby needs."
