A Phoenix man fell to his death while taking pictures at the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook over the weekend.

Orlando Serrano-Arzola, 25, had fallen off of the cliff overlooking the Colorado River on Sunday morning. Witnesses told the National Park Service that Serrano-Arzola was at the top of the rim overlooking the river taking photos before he fell.

He fell nearly 100 feet before sliding another 150 feet, according to a statement from the National Park Service.

When emergency responders reached the base of the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook to retrieve Serrano-Arzola's body they also found other human remains. Authorities did not provide too much information about what exactly what found since the remains are under investigation.

Other people have perished at the Glen Canyon National Recreational Area near Page, Arizona. An Arizona man in his 30s died after falling at Horseshoe Bend in 2018. The same happened to a teenage girl from California months later.
