Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has been named one of the top ten best airports in the nation by Condé Nast Traveler readers for the second year in a row.
Responses were submitted by over 715,000 readers. According to the luxury and lifestyle magazine, readers rated their traveling experiences across the globe.
Austin-Bergstrom came in at number ten on the list, and was the only airport in Texas that won a Readers' Choice award this year.
Jesse Ashlock, U.S. Editor of Condé Nast Traveler stated, "The results of this year's survey, conducted at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, are a testament to the lasting power of a meaningful travel experience. The winners represent the best of the best for our audience and offer plenty of trip-planning inspiration for all the adventures we can't wait to have next."
The easy navigation, live music, and local Texas food were all cited as reasons Austin-Bergstrom made the top ten list.
The Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice award is among several awards that the Austin airport has received recently. It was named runner-up for best airport in the Fodor's Travel Awards, second-best midsized airport in the US by the Wall Street Journal, and in the top ten for customer satisfaction among large airports by J.D. Power in 2020.
