Baby Archie just hit a major milestone!
During a live video chat with Malala Yousafzai on Sunday (October 11) to commemorate the International Day of the Girl, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spoke about their personal experience during the pandemic. While they've been affected by the ongoing pandemic just like the rest of us, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex acknowledged that being forced to slow down in their careers allowed for more family time over the last eight months.
There was one special moment in particular that stood out to Harry and Meghan this year—both being able to witness their son Archie's first steps. “We were both there for his first steps,” Harry gushed. “His first run, his first fall, his first everything.”
“In so many ways we are fortunate to be able to have this time to watch him grow, and in the absence of COVID, we would be traveling and working more,” Meghan chimed in. “We’d miss a lot of those moments.”
This isn't the first update Harry and Meghan have given about Archie recently. It seems now that Archie's walking he has his parents busier than ever. Meghan told the Evening Standard: "He is just so busy, he is all over the place. He keeps us on our toes. We are just so lucky.”
Following their move to Santa Barbara, Harry told Rugby Football League: “I've got a little space outside, which I'm fortunate enough to have so I need to get [Archie] playing some Rugby League. Our little man is our number one priority."
