Some cities have seen rapid economic growth and long-term prosperity this year.

Wallethub released a study of the fastest-growing cities in America, and Round Rock landed in the top 30.

The site compared 515 cities of varying population sizes based on 17 key measures of both growth and decline.

The website states, "The South and West currently seem to be attractive places to move, as the U.S. Census Bureau reports eight of the 15 cities with the largest population gains between 2010 and 2019 were located in the South and five were in the West."

Round Rock came in at number eight with an overall score of 70.72.

The city ranked number 13 in sociodemographics and number 57 in jobs and economy.

Round Rock was also fifth on the list of midsize cities with the highest growth.

Fort Meyers, Florida was ranked the fastest-growing city in America. Bend, Oregon and Meridian, Idaho were second and third, respectively.

To determine the list, Wallethub compared 17 metrics in two different categories. These metrics included population growth, growth in share of college-educated population, job growth, unemployment rate decrease, increase in number of businesses, and foreclosure rate decrease, among others.
