Dallas has its fair share of dark history and creepy places for those seeking a spooky adventure.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, these five "haunted" places around the area are sure to give you a fright.

The Millermore Mansion

The Millermore Mansion is one of the largest historic mansions in the city of Dallas. The mansion is said to be haunted by a female ghost near the master bedroom and nursery. Visitors of the mansion can take a guided tour. Group and individual tour fees include viewings of several of the historical homes and buildings in the Dallas Heritage Village.

Have you heard about the Junior Historian program? DHV has been involved with the program since the 80's! It has been a interesting few months, but we are delighted to have an open house this week that will show off a few of the things that our Junior Historians have done in the past, and show you (or your children!) some of the ways you could get involved in the program. ⠀ ⠀ We would love for you to bring out your family and get a taste of what they could do! All family members are welcome to visit, but the program is for children aged 12-18. ⠀ ⠀ Click the link in our bio to see a project done by a previous Junior Historian class! ⠀ ⠀ #juniorhistorians #texasjuniorhistorians #youthinvolvement

Sons of Hermann Hall

Sons of Hermann Hall is a live music hall that's still open for business. However, if you're going for dancing or music then be prepared to have an encounter with some spirits. It has been reported that people have had heard children laughing with none present. People have also seen apparitions such as the former caretaker and former patrons dressed to attend concerts of the past.

Hotel Lawrence

Hotel Lawrence has since been renamed as La Quinta Downtown Dallas. This hotel was built in 1925 and has an old, European style. Visitors have reported seeing a woman, a murder victim, and a gambler walking the halls. According to former guests, the tenth floor is where the spookiest encounters have taken place
