Say Goodbye To Warm, Sunny Weather - Colder Temps Forecasted In Chicago

Bundle up, Chicago.
Forecasts show that the warm weather the city is experiencing Wednesday (October 14) isn’t going to last.
The temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s are expected to dwindle with tonight’s cold front, NBC5Chicago reported Wednesday, also noting possible rain through Thursday morning (October 15).
After that, Chicagoans should prepare for highs in the 50s through the end of the week.
The chill of fall, though, means getting into the seasonal spirit with haunted ghost tours, trips to a pumpkin patch, venturing on a hike and other ways to enjoy the city, even during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Chicago officials have been bracing for the upcoming temperature changes, including what it would mean for the local restaurant industry.
Instead, hundreds of Chicagoans came up with creative ideas to help restaurants maintain outdoor seating through the winter months. Officials announced the three winning ideas last week.
"As we approach the winter months and adapt our COVID-19 response accordingly, we owe it to our restaurants to make sure they have what they need to continue keeping their doors open and serving their communities," Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a news release. "Thanks to IRA and the outstanding creativity of our Winter Dining Challenge winners, we will be able to not only make this a reality, but do so in a way that is safe and showcases our City's innovative spirit.”
