Phoenix has its fair share of dark history and creepy places for those seeking a spooky adventure all year long.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, these five "haunted" places around the area are sure to give you a fright.

Rosson House

The Rosson House is a Victorian home that was built in 1895. It's currently in use as a museum, but many people have reported hearing footsteps with no one else around. Others report warm temperatures coming out of empty fireplaces and the ghost of an old caretaker. If you dare, you can get tickets to walk through the spooky home.

Casey Moore's Oyster House

Casey Moore's Oyster House is a popular bar in Tempe. However, if you're stopping by for a drink, think twice about bringing a date. Apparently, a girl was murdered upstairs and gets angry when lovers are present.

Hotel San Carlos

Hotel San Carlos is a historic hotel and has been in operation since 1928. Guests have reported sightings of a woman dressed in white and the sounds of screaming children running down the halls at night. Book a night and see what spirits you get a glimpse of.

You know it’s true love when your wife starts taking vintage sign photos for you while traveling on business. The missus snapped this one in Phoenix AZ. The Hotel San Carlos opened in 1928 — the first air-conditioned, high-rise hotel in the city. It was known for its hand operated elevators as well as chilled water taps in the guest rooms. Many celebrities stayed there during Hollywood’s Golden Age including Mae West, Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, Jean Harlow, Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman, Gary Cooper, Humphrey Bogart and Gene Autry. The Hotel San Carlos continues to welcome guests today. #vintage #roadtrip #retro #font #antique #roadtrippin #signs #americana #signage #ipulledoverforthis #neonsign #roadtripusa #signgeeks #signporn #neonsigns #vintagesign #vintagesigns #everything_signage #oldsigns #ig_signage #vintageneon #history #signsofinstagram #signgeek #signfixation #hotelsancarlos #hotel #historichotel #phoenix #midcentury
