A man crashing into police cars lead to a Miami-Dade police officer being hospitalized from a stun, Local 10 reported. The suspect crashed his vehicle into two marked Miami-Dade police cars, causing his vehicle to overturn in the area of NW 104th Street and 22nd Avenue, according to Miami-Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta. He added that the police cars were unoccupied at the time.

Officers deployed their tasers while trying to arrest the man, and one of them was "drive stunned" in the process, police said. "Drive stunning causes pain rather than temporary paralysis, and occurs without the probes being discharged," Local 10 explained. The officer was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, and the suspect driver was arrested. Authorities offered no immediate details on the arrest nor the officer's condition.

Earlier this week, police officers shot a naked and allegedly armed man during a confrontation and towed way a car in Broward County. Authorities claimed the man's actions forced them to open fire. Back in September, some witnesses captured video of a Miami police officer fighting a suspect in the streets following a traffic stop. The officer and the suspect were grappling each other, and the suspect was even shot with a taser.
