On Wednesday, King County, located west of Fort Worth, had its first confirmed case of coronavirus.

Now, 253 out of the 254 Texas counties have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19.

This leaves one remaining county without a case: Loving County.

Since the start of tracking coronavirus cases in the state, residents in the county have only had eight tests, which is far lower than the average.

This tiny county which has no incorporated communities. Its county seat and only community is Mentone.

Loving County is located on the Texas-New Mexico border east of El Paso.

The county has an astonishingly small population with just 134 people living there, according to an estimate by the United States Census Bureau in 2017.

In fact, Loving county is the least densely populated county in the continental United States. The only county in the entire United States with a smaller population is Kalawai County is Hawaii that has only 80 residents.

According to USA Today, there are only two other counties in the United States that have not had confirmed coronavirus cases. Those counties are Esmeralda County in Nevada and Skagway in Alaska, which is actually a "borough", rather than a county.
