The Arizona Cardinals will allow more fans at State Farm Stadium for the next home game against the Seattle Seahawks.
With the Arizona Department of Health Service's approval, the stadium will let in 1,200 fans to watch the game in person on October 25.
Tickets are only available to season-ticket holders based on seniority, according to the team. Seats are being sold in pairs and will be assigned. The team is emailing eligible season-ticket holders directly about tickets.
In order to maintain social distancing, unsold seats will be zip-tied shut. The stadium will only allow 600 fans to sit on each side, too.
Of course, masks will be mandatory and anyone not wearing one will be told to leave.
The 1,200 ticket allowance only applies to the October 25. The possibility of fans attending future home games will be decided by the team at a later time.
The Cardinals allowed 750 fans at its September 27 home game against the Detroit Lions. Those tickets were restricted to family and friends of players, coaches, and team staff. Since State Farm Stadium can sit up to 63,400 people, the stands looked empty despite a few hundred people attending the game against the Lions.
