New England Gets Significant Snowfall Over The Weekend

Many northern New Englanders experienced significant snowfall over the weekend.
On Saturday, a heavy, wet snow hit the region, causing some power outages, National Weather Service Portland/Gary, Maine reports.
"The higher terrain and northern areas saw their first snowfall today, with enough falling to cause power outages in some spots," NWS Gray tweeted.
CBS Boston executive weather producer Terry Eliasen shared a photo of significant snowfall in Easton, New Hampshire on his Twitter account Saturday morning. The Mount Washington Observatory also shared a video on Twitter showing snow and ice covering Mount Washington in New Hampshire.

Jefferson, New Hampshire reportedly got about seven inches of snow, which delayed the opening of the Santa's Village amusement park until it was cleared away, CBS Boston reports. Jackman, Maine experienced a half foot of snow (15 centimeters) on Saturday.
Eight inches (20 centimeters) of snow was recorded in Colebrook, New Hampshire, CBS Boston reports. Parts of the Green Mountains of Vermont also reported blanketed areas over the weekend.
Boston is expected to have much warmer temperatures this week, with a 7-day forecast that includes a high of 72 on Tuesday and a low of 42 on Sunday, CBS Boston reports.
