Gunshots were exchanged during an armed robbery in a Hialeah home this weekend, and security cameras caught some of it. A Hialeah man told NBC Miami that armed suspects broke into his home Saturday night (October 17) and fired at his family. The incident happened around 11 p.m. at a house located near Northwest 86th Avenue and 182nd Street.

The man said he had several people over to watch a basketball game that evening, including a 7-year-old child. Home surveillance video then showed two men, armed with guns, forcing their way into the home. People screamed, and the invaders pointed their guns at the guests in the room. The man's wife reached for the family gun in one of the bedrooms. One of the suspects took notice and shot at her, according to the Hialeah man.

"They shot at my wife like four or five times. I was able to run to my wife, grab the gun from her. I follow them out here, shot back a couple of times. I think I hit the car," he said. NBC Miami said no one was hurt. The man filed an incident report but authorities have not released details on the incident.
