Fired Employee Arrested In Hickory Hill Distribution Center Double Shooting

A recently fired former employee has been reportedly arrested in connection to a double shooting that took place at a Memphis distribution center on Monday.

Christion Triplett, 19, was identified as a suspect based his involvement in an ongoing feud with one of the victims and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, criminal trespass and other crimes, FOX 13 Memphis reports.

The shooting reportedly took place around 7:30 a.m. at Barrett Distribution on East Holmes Road, according to an affidavit obtained by FOX 13. Two men were sitting in a car in the facility's parking lot when they were shot by a man with an assault rifle.

The victims were both shot several times and transported to Regional One, where they were listed as being in critical condition as of Tuesday morning. The suspect, later identified as Triplett, reportedly fled in a blue two-door vehicle.

The investigation showed Triplett had an ongoing feud with one of the victims and was fired from the distribution center for waving a handgun out fo a window while on the distribution center property, according to the affidavit via FOX 13.

Triplett was arrested at a home on Flowering Peach Drive and admitted to firing the assault rifle used in the double shooting when questioned by police. The affidavit confirmed the weapon was recorded in Southaven, Mississippi, FOX 13 reports.
