One of the best Halloween attractions in the Bay Area is at the Alameda County Fairgrounds . It’s called The Pirates of Emerson, and it’s had quite an evolution.

According to the co-founder Brian Fields, it all began on Emerson Street in San Francisco almost 30 years ago in his backyard, and wasn’t much more than Brian and a bunch of his friends scaring the neighborhood kids. Now, because of the pandemic, it’s strictly drive through, and took about six weeks to set it up. Pirates of Emerson spreads over 10 acres, takes about 20 minutes to drive through, and costs $94 a carload. You can click here for more information.
