The "hop-on" jet service JSX will soon offer trips between Dallas and Houston for as little as $99 each way.

The service, which begins November 20, is marketing itself as a safer way to fly during the pandemic. Instead of having to go through large commercial airports, customers will go through private terminals at Dallas Love Field and Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport.

Passengers will also be able to arrive 20 minutes before their flight takes off. They'll still have to go through a TSA screening and have their temperatures checked before boarding.

The planes are also smaller and has far fewer seats than the average commercial flight. JSX's Embraer 145 will be able to carry 30 passengers since the middle seats are removed, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Private jet companies have taken off during the pandemic while commercial airlines struggle because it offers a crowd-free way to travel. It costs thousands of dollars to charter a private jet, which is impractical for most travelers.

JSX says its goal is to offer people a luxury travel experience at an affordable cost.

Reservations for flights between Dallas and Houston can already be booked, but the price can go up to $149 for a one-way ticket depending on which day you fly. JSX also offers flights between Dallas and Las Vegas, but one-way tickets range between $269 and $419 depending on the day booked.
