Anthony Muhammad said he is counting his blessings after he survived a boat explosion in Fort Lauderdale last week. “I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it off the boat,” he said. NBC Miami's broadcast showed the man recovering in the hospital with burns on his face. The news outlet also said the burns are all over his body, as well. Muhammad is a singer and rapper, going by the name "Thinny." He was on a 40-foot boat with other individuals to shoot a music video last Thursday (October 15) on New River.
“Out of nowhere, we hear this loud pop,” he said. The boat bursted into flames, forcing 21 people overboard and into the water. Thirteen people suffered burns, and several people were rushed to the hospital. The survivor said he didn't know he was hurt until pain rushed through his body. “I started to look at my arms, started to look at my legs, then I feel my face, and a lot of things were burning,” Muhammad said. During the broadcast, he said he has blisters, cuts and bruises on his hands.
