Recently Redbook published a list of the most popular sandwiches in each state. What makes the list interesting, is that the most popular sandwiches also happen to have originated in that state.
Would you believe the most popular sandwich in California, one that was invented in Los Angeles, is the French Dip? It’s true!
In Jack’s home state of Pennsylvania it’s the, duh, Philly Cheesesteak. For Carolyn’s home state, Illinois, it’s the Italian Beef Sandwich.
