Austin has many amazing things that make the city unique and fun.

Most people usually just stick to their favorite restaurants, parks, and shops, however, there are lots of hidden spots around the city that you may not have noticed before.

Here are five hidden gems in Austin that you have to visit:

Mueller SunFlowers

These futuristic flowers with cobalt blue petals are visible from Interstate 35. The solar panels collect the sun's energy to power the LED lights that come to life at night. The flowers are Austin's largest public art installation and mark the entrance to Mueller Village.

Cathedral of Junk

One man's trash has truly been turned to treasure in this unique structure. Located in the backyard of Austin resident Vince Hannemann, this installation is always evolving. The quirky cathedral is huge and available for visitors to walk through.

HOPE Outdoor Gallery

This outdoor installation of graffiti and street are is set to open across from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Spring of 2021. This Graffiti Park was once located on Baylor Street and is the only art park of its kind. This is great place to view some awe-inspiring pieces. Don't forget to snap an Instagram pic!

Congress Avenue Bridge Bat Viewing

Watch Austin's famous bats fly into the sky from the Congress Avenue Bridge. Each night from March to November, the bats emerge from under the bridge at dusk and blanket the sky above the bridge that is full of spectators.

Secret Beach

This little oasis that is literally named "Secret Beach" is located off the beaten path within Austin's city limits. Though you can't swim in the water, this is a great place for relaxing and soaking up the sun.
