Early voting is in its last week, and residents are flocking to polling locations to cast their vote in the 2020 presidential election.
Polling locations across the country are seeing record-breaking numbers this year.
According to Dr. Kimi King, a professor of American Government and US Constitutional Law at the University of North Texas in Denton, there has been an increase in Democratic voters as well as an increase in voters over the age of 40.
The Guardian reported that as of Friday, Texas had already surpassed 70% of the total turnout in 2016, and there is still plenty of time for residents to cast a vote.
With such large numbers of people showing up to fulfill their civic duty, many residents are left wondering just how long they will be waiting in line at early voting polling locations.
MOVE Texas and Irys have recently released an app called Move the Line that contains a map of polling locations. Each location has a colored marker indicating the wait times of each location.
Red dots indicate a wait time of longer than 30 minutes.
Yellow dots indicate a wait time of 15 to 30 minutes.
Green dots indicate a wait time of 0 to 15 minutes.
If a location contains a brown dot then there is no data available for that specific place for the day.
The app is accessible with a computer or smart phone.

All across our city, people are helping one another vote. This newest tool from @MOVE_texas and @heyirys is another great example of how we can make voting easier. (Be sure to share your own wait time when you go to the polls!) #SATX #VoteSA https://t.co/pJDYY2jk5G
