A Florida man made an interesting discovery during a jog on a Naples beach. Anatoli Smirnov found a giant jellyfish along Vanderbilt Beach Saturday (October 24), according to NBC Miami. Sporting pink and white colors, the creature stretched four feet across the sand in a picture Smirnov provided WFLA. The jogger even joked that he "almost gotten eaten" by the jellyfish.

ā€œI’m running on beach all the time. I see lots of sea creatures. This one was the first time,ā€ Smirnov said. It didn't appear to sting or harm Smirnov, but the jogger considered it a "fascinating find." It's unknown what the jellyfish's species is.

Florida residents have been seeing some interesting creature encounters recently. Last week, a Florida family found a rare, two-headed snake in their Pinellas County home. Wildlife officials said the snake may have gotten confused due to its condition and found its way in the home. Two python removal agents also caught a record-breaking Burmese python in the Everglades earlier this month. The invasive reptile is 18 feet and 9 inches long, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
