President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will appear on the campaign trail together for the first time since June. The pair is scheduled to speak at a "Make America Great Again Victory Rally" at Fayetteville Regional Airport Thursday night.

According to ABC 11, they will attend another campaign rally in Tampa, Florida, before arriving in North Carolina. They will then attend a troop engagement at Fort Bragg before finally heading to Fayetteville.

The president has been holding multiple rallies in the Tar Heel state with thousands in attendance, causing concerns over potential spread of coronavirus, including from Governor Roy Cooper. Just last week, President Trump's rally in Gastonia drew a crowd of at least 23,000 in a time where North Carolina's cases and positivity rate have increased.

"I am really concerned with campaigns that are flying all over the place, coming into North Carolina, and holding these large events gathering groups together and then leaving," said Gov. Cooper. "We're seeing more of a concentration (of COVID-19 cases) in rural areas and we're seeing it more in the white population. We're seeing spread, and there's no way that large gatherings over long periods of time with people standing together — there's no way that helps things. What we need right now is the opposite. We need people taking responsibility."
