Virginia residents will be able to participate in Christmas festivities at Busch Gardens Williamsburg amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme park will be hosting 'Christmas Celebration,' which will serve as a limited capacity version of its annual 'Christmas Town' experience next month. The event will begin on November 13 and continue through January 2, 2021.
'Christmas Celebration' will include eight of the park's villages and 15 roller coasters open, as well as Christmas lights and other holiday themed entertainment. Busch Gardens Williamsburg will also keep its train open during the festival.
“The Christmas season is a special time for our park. This year has been challenging for so many and we’re thrilled to bring some holiday joy to even more families now that we’re able to offer additional reservations for this spectacular holiday event,” said Kevin Lembke, president of Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA, via WAVY.com. “We continue to operate with enhanced health and safety measures, and have created an event full of Christmas experiences for kids and adults that safely deliver a festive combination of exciting coasters, rides, live holiday music and delicious food and drinks.”
Park admission for the 'Christmas Celebration' begins at $39.99, but park members will be allowed to enter for free. Tickets went on sale Monday (November 2) and can be purchased here.
