These Chains Are Offering Free Food To Voters, Poll Workers On Election Day

As Americans head to the polls, many businesses are offering free food or discounts to voters and poll workers. Because federal law prohibits companies from asking people to prove they voted, most deals are open to everybody. However, a few places will only offer the specials to credentialed poll workers.

Krispy Kreme will be giving away a free donut to every customer on Tuesday (November 3), while Boston Market is giving away a free slider to everybody. The national pizza chain Pieology is offering an "Election Day 2020 Bundle" that comes with two 11-inch 'Create Your Own' pizzas and a dessert for $20.20.

If you feel like you need a stiff drink after casting your vote, you can head to Chilli's, where you can get a $5 Presidente Margarita.

If you already voted and plan to stay home on election day, GrubHub is offering discounts for everybody who places a delivery order. 

Enlightened said they will give away a coupon for free ice cream to everybody who mentions the word "vote" and tags @eatenlightened in their Instagram story on election day. One lucky winner will be picked to win the grand prize, a year's worth of free ice cream.

Some restaurants are only offering free food to poll workers who have valid credentials. If you are working the polls and need some lunch, Some restaurants are only offering free food for poll workers. If you have valid credentials from working at the polls, Chopt and Dos Toros will give you a free meal.

If you need some help getting to the polls, Lyft and Uber will be offering 50% off a round-trip fare. If you'd rather ride a bike to the polls, the North American Bikeshare Association is offering "free or reduced-cost transportation to voters" on Tuesday.
