John Legend Dedicates Heartfelt Tattoo To Late Son Jack

John Legend is remembering his late son Jack in the most special way.

Over the weekend, Chrissy Teigen revealed the sentimental tattoo she got on her wrist to honor the memory of the baby boy she lost last month in her pregnancy. The model’s new ink, which simply reads “Jack,” is scrawled across her right wrist, just above another tattoo that features her husband John’s name as well as their two children, daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2.

Now, it appears the “Green Light” musician has followed in his wife’s footsteps by getting a matching tattoo. “@chrissyteigen @johnlegend My heart is with you, sending you all the love!” tattoo artist Winter Stone captioned a black-and-white photo of Legend’s new ink, which features his late son’s name written in cursive on his wrist.

As fans know, Teigen revealed that she lost her third child due to pregnancy complications in a shattering Instagram post on September 30. He was only 20 weeks old.

The Grammy-winning crooner’s heartfelt tattoo comes weeks after dedicating his 2020 Billboard Music Awards performance to his wife in October. Legend would later break his silence on the couple’s pregnancy loss for the first time by honoring his wife’s strength in a statement.

“This is for Chrissy. I love and cherish you and our family so much,” Legend wrote on Twitter at the time. “We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together. Watching you carry our children has been so moving and humbling.”

Speaking on losing baby Jack, the 41-year-old added, “More than anything, we’ve heard so many stories about how so many other families have experienced this pain, often suffering in silence. It’s a club no one wants to be a part of, but it’s comforting to know we’re not alone.”

Last week, the Cravings author wrote a painful essay recalling her pregnancy loss experience — read it here.
