Arizona Race Between Trump, Biden Tightens As Vote Counting Continues

The lead candidate Joe Biden has over President Donald Trump in Arizona is narrowing, the latest results from the battleground state show.

Biden leads Trump 50% to 48%, according to results released at 7 p.m. MST (9 p.m. EST) on Wednesday night. The winner of Arizona will pick up 11 electoral college votes.

Nearly 69,000 votes votes separate the two candidates in Arizona, ABC 15 reported.

While Fox News and the Associated Press projected that Biden will win Arizona, no winner has officially been declared.

As of 8 a.m. MST, Biden leads with 253 electoral collage votes to Trump's 214 votes. Biden also leads in the popular vote with 72 million people picking the Democratic candidate while Trump has 68.3 million votes.

The latest results extend Mark Kelly's lead (52%) against incumbent Martha McSally (48%) in the U.S. Senate race.

Arizona also moves closer to passing Proposition 208, which would increase the income tax for higher income earners to fund public education. With 89% of precincts reporting, 52% voted to approved Prop 208.
