There's a first time for everything, and for The Offspring that means recording a holiday song. Earlier this week, the SoCal rockers released a cover of Darlene Love’s “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” that stays shockingly true to the original.

“It just seemed like the world could use a nice holiday song right now. We’ve always been huge fans of Darlene Love, so when the idea came up to do a Christmas song, we jumped at the chance to record that one…and tried not to wreck it!” singer Dexter Holland said in a statement.

Aside from a digital release, the single is also available on limited-edition, signed red vinyl with the band's iconic logo etched onto the B-side. The test pressing is also available for purchase. Pre-order the record here and listen to The Offspring's rendition of "Christmas (Baby. Please Come Home)" below.

The Offspring aren't the only rockers getting into the holiday spirit this year. The Bird and the Bee recently announced a holiday album titled Put Up The Lights that includes a cover of "Little Drummer Boy" featuring Dave Grohl. The Goo Goo Dolls also recently released a holiday album titled Christmas All Over Again, which you can listen to here.
