A woman from Leesburg faced accusations of repeatedly stealing items from her late ex-husband's grave.

The stolen items were placed there by the man's fiancée, according to the Fruitland Park Police Department.

The man's fiancee first notified the police in September reporting that she had placed two wedding invitations, a pair of $250 Costa sunglasses, an LED hanging starlight, two double curl hanging planters, a weeping willow string light, six snapdragon plants, artificial flowers, a ring, and other items valued at a total of $438, according to ClickOrlando.com.

Within two days, all of the items were missing.

The woman told police she suspected her fiancé's ex-wife, Ronni Leigh Kimberlin.

When questioned by police, Kimberlin said the accusations were ridiculous. "I heard of the family drama but I did not take the items," she said in the report.

On October 19, more items from the gravesite were reported stolen. Just a few days after, a former roommate of Kimberlin's came forward and said she was with her when the items from the grave were stolen, according to the affidavit.

Police said they found planters from the gravesite at Kimberlin's brother's house and that she took her children to the grave and had them cross out the word "fiancé" from the gravestone with purple chalk.

Kimberlin was arrested at her home in Leesburg on Saturday (October 31). She faces charges of petit theft and disturbing a grave.

She was released from the Lake County Jail on $6,000 bond, according to Lake Legal News.
