Demi Lovato is hopeful for unity and change after the news of Joe Biden’s projected presidency.

On Saturday (November 7), the “Cool for the Summer” songbird took to Instagram to celebrate “our 46th president” with an uplifting message along with several photos of her with Biden and his vice presidential running mate, Kamala Harris.

“I’ve been waiting to post this photo because I knew deep down you would be our next President,” the 28-year-old captioned the heartfelt images, including one of Lovato’s tearful reaction to yesterday’s announcement.“Today we celebrate the millions of Americans who overcame barriers to the ballot box, mobilized their communities & voted in record breaking numbers.”

“This was OUR election and WE WON TOGETHER. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but today we will celebrate each other,” she continued. “Today isn’t about celebrating in the face of those that oppose your views and values, but celebrating from a place of LOVE - combating the hate that has encompassed and oppressed so many of us the past four years. Let the healing begin. 🙏🏼”

Lovato, who vocally opposed President Donald Trump on her song “Commander In Chief,” publicly endorsed the Biden-Harris campaign over the summer.

Back in August, the Grammy-nominated songbird posted a series of images including those of her and Harris together in support of their proposed administration. Referencing a quote from Harris in the post's caption, Lovato wrote, "'We are in a battle for the soul of this nation. But together it’s a battle we can win” - 💗 you @kamalaharris 😊💖'"
