The Norfolk Police Department announced Monday that 10 people were arrested as part of "Holiday Harvest," an operation to apprehend wanted suspects in the area.

Norfolk Police partnered with the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force for a three-day operation from November 4-6 that led to the arrests as well as the seizure of five firearms, according to a press release issued by the city.

"Several violent offenders were taken out of our communities last week," said Chief Larry Boone. "This was all due to the passion our local and federal law enforcement officers have for justice and safe neighborhoods. I couldn't be prouder of their hard work and look forward to future operations knowing the positive impact this will have not only in Norfolk, but the Hampton Roads area."

The suspects arrested were between 20 and 36 years old: Lafayette D. Kittrell, Julio C. Sanchez, Devon M. Truax, William A. Gardner, Twane S. Joe, Quinton D. Wade, Maggio A. Majette, Sterling R. Mike, Eugene M. Martin, and Kimanhi L. Lankford.

Charges include, among others, robbery, malicious wounding, concealing evidence, and indecent liberties with a child. Specific charges can be found at the city's website. All suspects are being held in Norfolk City Jail.

Agencies that supported the operation include the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Hampton Police Department, Newport News Police Department, Virginia Beach Police Department, Portsmouth Police Department, Williamsburg Police Department, and Chesapeake Sheriff's Office.
