The founder of Salt Life, a popular clothing brand, is being held in a South Florida jail as a "flight risk" in connection to the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old woman, NBC Miami reported. Michael Troy Hutto is facing a manslaughter charge in the death of Lora Grace Duncan in a hotel room. A Palm Beach County judge set Hutto's bond at $255,000 on Monday (Novmeber 9).

Police said they found her body at the Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront resort in Riviera Beach last month. Her father reported to authorities that he had not heard from his daughter for a couple days. He also told investigators that Duncan and Hutto were in a relationship. Reports say Hutto's belongings were in the hotel room, including his wallet and ID card. Authorities arrested him at a Jacksonville hospital about 280 miles from the hotel.

The founder admitted to accidentally shooting Duncan while they were "playing" with a gun inside the hotel room, according to prosecutors and police. According to the probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, it said "Mr. Hutto uttered which was not verbatim, 'Oh my God, I think, I hurt my Gracie' as he began to cry."

Last week, Salt Life said Hutto has not been involved with the company since he and his partners sold the business in 2013.
