Three of country music's biggest names will open the 2020 CMA Awards with a tribute to the late Charlie Daniels.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Ashley McBryde will take the stage to honor the legendary singer to kickoff 'Country Music's Biggest Night,' according to the Associated Press via FOX 17 News.

The 54th Annual Country Music Association Awards will air live from Nashville on Wednesday (November 11) at 8:00 p.m. EST with COVID-19 precautions set in place.

“So looking forward to this Charlie Daniels special here at the CMAs,” Bentley told CountryNow.com ahead of his CMA Awards performance. “I don’t know there’s anybody that hasn’t been influenced by Charlie Daniels music.”

Daniels, a member of the Grand Ole Opry, died in July at the age of 83 after suffering a stroke, his representatives confirmed to FOX 17 News at the time of his death.

Aldean was among numerous country stars who paid tribute to the legendary singer-songwriter following news of his passing.

"Man I am heartbroken to hear that Charlie Daniels passed away this morning," Aldean posted on Instagram. "[Charlie Daniels] was one of the nicest/kindest people I have ever met. Thanks for the musical legacy u left all of us. We will miss you Mr. Charlie."

Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker will serve as hosts for the 2020 CMA Awards.
