Where does Colorado land on the list of rudest U.S. states?
A study conducted by Best Life ranks Colorado as the 44th rudest state in America.
The study used a Business Insider survey to confirm the rudest cities in the U.S. They then pulled data from Insurify to find the percentage of rude drivers in each state and a Big 7 Travel survey on unfriendly states that polled 2.5 million people on social media. Finally, they analyzed conversations with customer service agents across 500 brands through LivePerson, to see which residents cursed the most.
Here's how Colorado scored in the study:
- Rudest cities: Denver
- Percentage of the state that's rude: 0.22
- Percentage of rude drivers: 3.6
- Unfriendly rank: 44
- Rude customer rank: 42
- Rudeness Score: 19
The website that conducted the study wrote that wanted to "challenge some of the stereotypes we've all heard about Southern hospitality, the friendliness of the Midwest, and the attitude in the Northeast."
But based on the outcome of the study, they seemed to confirm a few of those stereotypes with New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island all landing in the top 10. However, the top 10 did feature states from all corners of the country.
