The Kelly Clarkson Show has been hit with positive COVID-19 results from several staff members, but the host is not one of those cases.

After it was revealed that at least four folks on the production team received positive results on Friday (November 13), a source close to ET Online revealed that the American Idol OG, 38, tested negative for the respiratory condition, despite being exposed. Later in the weekend, the star was also seen leaving Nobu in Malibu with a friend. Per Deadline, contact tracing and retesting are being involved in accordance with guidelines set by the state/county and the NBCU Production Playbook to ensure the safety of the staff and accuracy of the initial results.

Clarkson has yet to address the matter, but COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations become a bigger talking point as 181,000 new cases arrived on Friday. That comes eight days after the United States hit a new record of 100,000 cases in just one day, according to The New York Times.

In recent weeks, the superstar has continued her tradition of snatching headlines, courtesy of her "Kellyoke" covers, including her soulful rendition of "American the Beautiful" and an impressive cover of Aerosmith's "Dream On."
