A TV news reporter passed away after a motorcycle she was on lost control and slammed into a tree, according to DailyMail.

The website said 26-year-old Jenny Lenzini died from her injuries following a Saturday (November 14) motorcycle crash. The journalist was riding on the back of the bike until the driver lost control. The vehicle came off the road and slammed into a tree in North Port, Florida, which is between Sarasota and Fort Myers.

The driver was killed at the scene. Lenzini was airlifted to a Sarasota hospital and later died there. DailyMail said the reporter just started working for southwest Florida station NBC2 in July. She covered topics such as coronavirus pandemic, Tropical Storm Laura and had an interview with a Proud Boys leader.

"Jenny covered stories that mattered most to our community in Charlotte County and Lee County. She was always diligent in her work and made sure you knew how grateful and thankful she was to be reporting in Southwest Florida," broadcasters said. "Her bright smile and passion for storytelling made her an instant standout in the Fort Myers television market."

Earlier this month, authorities found a dead Florida woman inside a car off Interstate 75 towards Naples. Officials said it was difficult getting to the car at first cause it crashed in an Alligator Alley canal and gators swarmed the area.
