It's been a year since Fuller House wrapped filming on the show's final season. Candace Cameron Bure, who portrayed DJ Tanner on both Fuller House and the original series Full House, marked the anniversary by sharing some sentimental moments from set with her Instagram followers.
Not only did Bure show what it was like with her fellow stars on set, she also revealed a glimpse into how Lori Loughlin remained a part of the finale despite being fired from the show. Loughlin exited the Netflix reboot of Full House after being named in the college bribery scandal. She's currently serving a two-month prison sentence for her involvement.
On Sunday (Nov. 15), Bure shared a sweet gift Loughlin sent her ahead of the last week of filming. Along with a heartfelt note, Loughlin sent her longtime friend a bouquet of flowers. The note read: "Dearest Candace, Congratulations on a great run! Have a fabulous last week. I love you and miss you."
While Loughlin stayed out of the spotlight during her legal battle, Bure publicly defended Loughlin on multiple occasions. During an appearance on the Today Show, Bure called Loughlin "a dear and close friend." Despite Loughlin's involvement in the scandal, Bure said they "are family and we stand by each other and pray for each other and we’ll always be there for each other."
