Jeremih's health is improving after the R&B singer was hospitalized in Chicago for COVID-19.
As per TMZ, the star, 33, was "fighting for his life" after being put on a breathing ventilator in the ICU, but it seems as if the prognosis has changed a bit. On Sunday (November 15), collaborator 50 Cent shared an update on Jeremih, writing, "Thank you for praying for my boy Jeremih he is responsive today, doing a little better."
Prior to 50 Cent’s update, little was known about the star's diagnosis nor had an official statement been released. Yet, a number of stars, including 50, had come forward to send well wishes to the singer. "Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him," Chance the Rapper told his following. Meanwhile, rapper Hitmaka, who has collaborated with Jeremih on a number of tracks, took to Instagram to ask fans to keep him in his thoughts. "I need everyone to pray for my brother @jeremih this message is posted with his mothers blessings,” he wrote.
Jeremih joins a long list of stars who have contracted coronavirus, including Idris Elba, Khloe Kardashian, Sara Bareilles, Cristiano Ronaldo, Andy Cohen, Babyface, Tom Hanks and more.
