Thousands were without power on Wednesday morning (November 18) in the Reedley and Fresno areas.
ABC30 reported that nearly 2,3000 PG&E customers were affected by a crash near Reedley College and were without power.
The areas affected included Reedley and Reedley College, as well as some parts of Fresno County.
According toYourcentralvalley.com, the outages in the Manchester circuit in Fresno and the circuit in Reedley were both attributed to flashover from this morning's rain.
However, Reedley College officials told ABC30 that a crash had occurred near campus, causing the outages.
There was no further information on the crash available.
Reedley College has been able to restore power to their campus.
PG&E's website says customers in the Western part of Reedley and south of the city between Dinuba Avenue and Avenue 424 are still without power. Customers in Fresno's Tower District are also still experiencing power outages.
The outage details in Tower District says their preliminary determination is that the outage was caused by an equipment issue. There is currently no provided estimated restoration time.
As for the Reedley area, PG&E's website says crews are currently working to restore service but have not yet provided an estimated restoration time.
