As the holiday season quickly approaches, UPS and Walmart are both looking for seasonal workers in the Denver area.

UPS is hiring over 1,200 workers in the Denver area and Walmart is looking to fill 670 positions across Colorado, according to CBS4.

Some of the available positions at Walmart include online orderfilling and delivery, alarm tech, pharmacy tech, meat cutter, cart attendant, merchandise and stocking associate, cake decorator, and frontline cashier.

Walmart has filled 500,000 new positions since March and will add another 157,000 positions across the country this holiday season.

The positions available at UPS include package handlers, trailer truckload drivers, automotive technicians, driver helpers, and delivery drivers. Part-time positions at UPS also come with benefits.

These positions are available throughout Aurora, Commerce City, and Englewood.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 33,559 people in Denver were unemployed as of August.

However, Colorado's unemployment rate dropped down to 6.7% when the state gained back 178,500 of the 342,300 payroll jobs that were lost in March and April.

Applications are available for Walmart and UPS positions on their websites.
