Although Thanksgiving will look different for many families this year because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Chance The Rapper is doing his part to ensure that Chicagoans in need can still fill up on a Thanksgiving meal.

Turkey giveaways are taking place Monday (November 23) and Tuesday (November 24) at three locations each day.

Chance The Rapper launched SocialWorks, which “aims to empower the youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement,” according to the Chicago-based organization’s website.

The artist announced SocialWorks’ upcoming turkey giveaway earlier this month on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, WGN9 reported.

“Me and @SocialWorks are hosting a Turkey giveaway and it’s less than a week away,” Chance The Rapper tweeted November 18. “FREE turkeys for anyone that pulls up. If you’re not driving, Use the @lyft codes to get you there for FREE too. Help us spread the word. See y’all then.”

Turkeys are limited to one per person on a first come, first served basis. There will be 250 turkeys given away at each location, according to the announcement.
