New England Town Listed Among Best Ski Town In North America; 3 In Top 5

A New England town was named the best ski town in North America on Friday.
USA TODAY ranked North Conway, New Hampshire as the No. 1 ski town on its 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. Bethel, Maine, which previously ranked No. 1 in 2019, ranked third and Stowe, Vermont moved up three spots from 2019 to No. 4.
“To be named the number one ski town in all ofNorth America is a huge honor and feather in our cap, especially when we see the company we’re in among ski towns across NorthAmerica,” said Janice Crawford, executive director of the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce, in a statement obtained by Boston.com.
USA TODAY included the following in its description of North Conway:
"Nestled within the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire, North Conway sits within a half-hour drive of more than a dozen alpine and Nordic ski resorts. Visitors off the slopes can explore the town’s pastel-hued Victorian architecture oozing New England charm. The Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center makes for an excellent rest-day diversion."
