Timberline opened ski and snowboarding season on Wednesday (November 25), but there are changes to how reservations work.
The ski resort announced Tuesday (November 24) that reservations will not be required to ski and ride, according to KATU. They also altered their online reservation system; the resort's capacity will be based on how many cars are in the parking lot.
Timberline explained further on their website. They wrote: "We knew this winter season would pose difficult and interesting challenges and that we'd have to make adjustments on the fly. The reservations system wasn't the best solution to manage capacity, and we recognize that. Capacity will still be managed based on how many cars our parking lot is able accommodate, first-come-first-served." You can read more about their changes here.

The resort also said they'll honor secure reservations through Friday. "They are asking skiers and snowboarders not to visit on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday without a reservation though," KATU reported.
Safety protocols will be in place due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, such as social distancing guidelines. To read more about their COVID-19 protocols, click here.
