State Farm Stadium in Glendale is temporarily taking in the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers, the National Football League, and the Arizona Cardinals agreed that State Farm will host San Francisco's next two home games after Santa Clara County in California banned contact sports due to COVID-19.
Santa Clara County, home of the 49er's Levi Stadium, placed a three-week ban on "all recreational activities that involve physical contact or close proximity to persons outside one's household," according to the NFL. The county is also ordering a 14-day quarantine for anyone traveling into the area from 150 miles away.
This means the 49ers cannot play or practice at home for the time being.
Instead, they will play their December 7 game against Buffalo and their December 13 against Washington in Arizona.
Thank you Michael Bidwell and the @AZCardinals for all of your help. Very appreciative of Arizona welcoming us during these unprecedented times https://t.co/gQBHIkqr0W

San Francisco will not be able to use the Cardinal's practice facility in Tempe, so the team is considering other local fields or colleges, The Mercury News reported.
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said he was "extremely disappointed" by Santa Clara's COVID-19 order.
“It’s a huge deal to leave your family for the month of December. It’s a huge deal. This virus is a huge deal," he said on Sunday.
The Cardinals will continue to play at State Farm Stadium on Sunday, December 8, against the Los Angeles Rams as scheduled.
