TX Officers See Smoke And Flames, Rescue Sleeping Family From House Fire

Some Lake Worth Police Officer stepped out of their normal line of duty to protect and serve a family in danger.

The officers say that they were "in the right place at the right time" when they saw the smoke and flames coming from the roof of a house.

Lake Police Department wrote on Facebook, "Officers wake sleeping family inside burning house // Shortly after 1:00 AM Lake Worth officers were in the right place at the right time when they spotted flames coming through the roof of a home in the eastern portion of the city. Officers notified the City of Lake Worth Fire Department while evacuating the family and their pets. The flames were extinguished and no injuries were reported."

The police officers found a family sleeping and were able to wake them and get everyone safely out of the burning house. Officers evacuated the family and their pets as flames hot from the roof of the home.

Thanks to the officers, no injuries were reported in the incident.
