Some people are always looking for the special someone. The coronavirus pandemic sure hasn't made the hunt for love any easier for single people. Plus, dating tends to be expensive depending on where you live. So, which American cities make it easier or more difficult to find a partner?

WalletHub, a personal finance website, set out to answer that question. The website published an article Tuesday (December 1) looking at over 180 U.S. cities "across 32 key indicators of dating-friendliness. Our data set ranges from the share of the population that is single to the number of online dating opportunities to the average price for a two-person meal," Adam McCann wrote.

What about Portland? Well, the City of Roses ranked at No. 30 overall among 182 other cities. According to the list, Portland is among the best when it comes to "Dating Opportunities." It also did pretty well for "Fun & Recreation." It didn't do so hot for economics, or how much you're spending on a date.

Only one other Oregon city made the list besides Portland: Salem (No. 65). Seattle was also featured, coming in at No. 33.

WalletHub also noted that online dating makes things easier in the wake of lockdowns and limited activities. Make what you will with this information and plan that next date, if you're looking!
