CHP Motorcycle Officer Andy Ornelas Has Died

CHP Motorcycle Officer Andy Ornelas has died 6 days after an on-duty crash in Palmdale. On November 23, Officer Ornelas was struck by a motorist making a U-turn. The California Highway Patrol says Ornelas’ motorcycle struck the other vehicle, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle. Ornelas sustained multiple injuries and was immediately taken to Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster.
Officer Ornelas is survived by his wife, mother, father, brother and sister.
