A man wanted in connection with a 2019 homicide was arrested after police found him hiding under a house in Lebanon.

Jason Durand Toy was captured by the Directed Patrol Unit of the Wilson County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday night (December 1). He had been wanted for Accessory After the Fact in connection to a homicide last year in Wilson County.

According to the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, the Tennessee Highway Patrol saw a driver hit a car on South Cumberland Street before driving off. Sheriff's Deputy Logan Hackett saw the vehicle in the area of South Maple and Quita Circle before the Directed Patrol Unit found it abandoned in a residential area near Ten Throw Drive.

The Sheriff's Office said Toy was thought to be in the area where the vehicle was abandoned, so police began to search for his whereabouts. Police eventually located him hiding underneath a residence and were able to quickly apprehend him and take him into custody where he can be charged.

On November 20, Toy was recently showcased by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation as part of its "Fugitive Friday" where it features wanted fugitives in the hopes of capturing the criminals.
