A group of North Texas carolers have adapted to the 2020 lifestyle by moving performances online.

The Uptown Carolers have been spreading Christmas cheer for eight years in the Dallas area.

Instead of traveling around this year, the carolers will now sing to families over Zoom.

Caroler Ryan McDonald, told CBS DFW, "This is the first year we have done this virtual thing, because of COVID."

The Uptown Carolers are available for hire for any occasion such as a virtual Christmas party, to brighten a loved one's day, or to bring joy to nursing home residents.

The group will be decked out in their usual Victorian garb, and one of the carolers says this will be an authentic experience.

Caroler Karri Atchley said, "It won't be a concert setting, they can talk to us, request songs just like we are there in person we hope."

The group has more than 80 songs ready to go.

McDonald said, "Every year we add an extra song or two to keep it fresh and try to keep up with the popular Christmas songs everyone wants to hear!"
