If you're feeling festive and want to get away from the chaos of 2020, you should head on down to Brant Buchanan's house in Vancouver, Washington.
The engineer is serious about spreading holiday cheer. KATU spoke with Buchanan, who said he remembers, as a kid, his dad going all out for Christmas. Buchanan has inherited the 30-year-old tradition and wants to people to not worry about the COVID-19 pandemic.
“People were so thankful to see all the bright lights to brighten their day and especially during the pandemic we’re going through,” he told reporters Thursday night (December 3). “Everyone’s just been so grateful to see the Christmas lights.”
The home has a display of 100,000 lights and is located at Northeast 7th Street at Countryside Drive. You can check out the lights from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
If you're looking to brighten your holidays, the Beaverton Winter Lights are also running from Friday through January 3, 2021 in five locations. They're also on from 4:30 to 10 p.m.
If you're in the Seattle area, we also made a list of places where you can check out displays of holiday lights. Be mindful of coronavirus restrictions!
